ATTENTION:
When using LED turn signals on vehicles that do not use them in their original condition, it may be necessary to replace the indicator relay and/or reduce the flashing frequency to a permitted level by using resistors.

Options:

• if otherwise the legally required distances cannot be met or if the number plate is simply in the way, extra matching extensions can be used for the indicator arm (order nr. 50170400860, 50170400870 or 50170400871)
• for easier connection without changes to the cables of the original indicators there are suitable adapter cables available for many manufacturers/models (order nr. 50170003460 and following  as well as 50170502000 and following)
• if the installation is to replace the original indicators, their attachment is usually too large - for many manufacturers/models there are suitable adapter plates with which the installation is then possible without problems (order nr. 50170100000 and following)
• can also be easily used on models with CAN-BUS with the help of an adjustable 2-channel resistor (order nr. 50220000640) - in this case 1 resistor is required per tail light/turn signal

Certificate:
With EC certificate for the rear.
Turn lights, tail and brake lights have a CE certificate and do not require any further documents.
Therefore, they can easily be installed in accordance with the regulations.

Applies for motorcycles with EC certificate (from approx. mid/end of the '90s):
Minimum distance from turn signal to turn signal front/rear: 240/180 mm
Maximum distance from rear indicator to tail end: 300 mm
Allowed installation height: 350 to 1200 mm
Geometrical visibility inwards/outwards: 20/80 degrees
Geometrical visibility upwards and downwards: 15 degrees
Allowed flashing frequency: 60 to 120 cycles per minute
For older models, for vehicles which have been put into service by individual acceptance or in non-EU countries, different dimensions may apply.
